Introducing Blue, our Cavapoo Puppy!

This is just a quick post to introduce you to the new addition to our family, Blue the Cavapoo puppy!

In May, we decided to expand our family and purchase a puppy. Her name is Biscuit, she is a Poochon. You can read all about our Poochon Puppy, Biscuit here. Prior to selecting Biscuit, we had initially spent some time with a beautiful Cavapoo puppy.

After some time, as stunning as she was, we thought she wasn’t the dog for us, but Biscuit was. Nevertheless, we had fallen in love with the Cavapoo breed. We had been planning on welcoming two puppies into our home but felt we needed to wait to find the right pup for us! When we saw Blue advertised, we fell in love instantly.

He was from a reputable breeder. His mother, a King Charles Cavalier had given birth to 10 stunning red puppies. His father was a purebred poodle.

A Little Bit About Blue

We have had Blue for around a month now. He is currently12 weeks old and is absolutely adorable. He has his own wonderful personality. More than anything, Blue loves to cuddle, whether that be us, or Biscuit. Once he is picked up, he instantly snuggles in and enjoys the moment.

He is a little rascal – he likes to chew wires in particular. Blue is incredibly greedy! Unlike Biscuit who takes her time with her food, Blue will eat his meal within seconds. For this reason, we had to purchase a puzzle bowl in order to slow down his eating! This has been a cause of annoyance for Blue, but he seems to be getting there now!

Blue is still awaiting his second injections and so cannot go out for walks yet, but he loves to play in the garden with Biscuit. As it has just turned autumn, he particularly enjoys chasing (and then eating) the fallen leaves.

He is sleeping rather well through the night (he normally wakes up once at around 4 am and whimpers to go outside to the toilet) and then he tends to wake then around 7.30 am.

Some people think we’re insane to have two puppies in the house, but we’re absolutely loving the experience. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of Blue, our Cavapoo puppy!

It’s been a very very long time since I had a dog, but when I last did, during my childhood, we got our from a shelter. Something I’d highly recommend. I hope your two new puppies brings you nothing but love and happiness

Blue & Biscuit are both adorable, but Blue steels the show! I love his red color. My husband & I have done some pet sitting and the puzzle bowls & treat toys are very helpful at slowing down the animal feeding frenzy! I think solving the puzzle also keeps pets mentally stimulated and engaged, which is a good thing.
