We recently welcomed into the world a litter of 3 beautiful cavapoochon puppies. They were all absolutely adorable and we love them all as members of our own family. We decided to keep one of the puppies and 2 of our friends took the remaining two cavapoochon puppies.
When people ask what breed our little puppy is, they often look a little puzzled when I say he is a cavapoochon. We are fortunate enough to own both Mum and Dad, a poochon and a cavapoo. Our house is now filled with dogs! We now have a beautiful doggy family – a poochon, a cavapoo and a cavapoochon!
In this post, I’ll tell you a little bit about each dog. People always aks me about their temperaments. They are all beautiful dogs in every way. As a bonus, poochons, cavapoos and cavapoochons are hypoallergenic – so no hairs all over the house! If you’re looking for a dog, I can recommend any of these breeds, they really do make the perfect pet!
Poochon

Mum is called Biscuit and she is a poochon. Her mother is a Bischon Frise and her father is a toy poodle.
Biscuit is a beautiful little dog. She is small and cuddly. She has dark eyes and white fur. Her hair is curly and is prone to knots. However, she is hypoallergic. Biscuit is a fierce protector of the home and will bark if anyone enters her domain! She is most definitely the leader of the pack! Yet, if Biscuit knows you, she will demand endless cuddles, strokes and belly rubs.
Biscuit sleeps in our daughter’s room (we think to protect the youngest human in the family). She is extremely clever and has learn a whole range of tricks, she learnt these very quickly. When it comes to walking, Biscuit loves to be on the lead. She also enjoys a good old run on the field too.
Biscuit loves to perform tricks which has made her relatively easy to train.
We couldn’t be prouder of Biscuit, she has been a fantastic Mother to the puppies and continues to be so now Castiel is almost 4 months old.
Cavapoo

Dad’s name is Blue. He is our cute Cavapoo. His father is a red miniature poodle and his Mum is a cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Blue is taller than Biscuit, he is a small medium-sized dog. He is often confused with a cockapoo by fellow dog walkers. Indeed he does share some similarities with that particular breed.
Blue is a very gentle, soft spirit. He loves nothing more than cuddles with the family. When Blue first arrived at our home when he was 8 weeks of age, he was a dark red colour. His coat changed after his first groom. A shave revealed a beautiful apricot colour under his coat.
Blue’s coat is straight and not really prone to knots. He has a wonderful temperament. Like Biscuit, Blue enjoys performing tricks. He is quick to learn (although not quite as quick as Biscuit!). Blue is incredibly obedient. He loves his walks but struggles to walk nicely on the lead. Once off the lead, he will run around for hours, however, he will always come back when called.
Blue is food-motivated which makes him easy to train. Like Biscuit, he is hypoallergenic.
Castiel, the Cavapoochon

Castiel is now almost 4 months old and is thriving. His temperament is a mixture between Mum and Dad. He has his Mum’s intelligence and his Dad’s soft nature. Castiel was the smallest in his letter and we guess he will probably grow to the size of his Mum. He enjoys his cuddles on the sofa but can also enjoy his own space too. Castiel has a good appetite and will play with his toys for hours on end. He is obedient and has started to learn several tricks, such as sit, paw and lie down.

He absolutely loves his walks. We haven’t taken him for a run off his lead yet but I imagine he will follow Mum and Dad and return when called. His ears are long like Dad’s but has dark eyes and a light coat like Mum’s.
The Other Puppies
Biscuit gave birth to two other cavapoochon puppies – a boy we named Crowley and a girl we named Matilda.
Crowley was the first to be born and he was the largest of the litter. He was very similar to his Dad, Blue in every way! He had dark red fur, his Dad’s eyes and his Dad’s straight/wavy coat. He was also incredibly cuddly like his Dad!

Matilda is a carbon copy of her mother! She enjoyed rough play with her littermates. Matilda was most certainly the boss of the litter! She was the first to go to the toilet on her puppy pads, which prompted her brothers to follow. She had a good appetite, but like Biscuit, she would only eat when hungry. Her coat is apricot in colour and wavy like her Dad’s. Matilda was the second puppy to be born and she, like her brothers is a fine example of a cavapoochon puppy.
Life with 3 dogs
Our lives have changed dramatically since becoming dog owners! However, the positives outweigh the negatives. We have 3 healthy, happy puppies, They are all relatively young, all born within 2 years of each other. This helps as they will age together nicely!
All 3 dogs play well together and, as they’re a family, they have a wonderful bond. If one is in trouble, the others come to see what’s going on! They all stand by each other and Mum and Dad (Mum in particular) fiercely protect Castiel who is still finding his bark!
Our logic was, that if you have 1 dog, you might as well have 2! Then, if you have 2 dogs, another 1 isn’t too much bother! They are all great company and are the best pets we could have wished for!
Custom Keyrings are an adorable gift. Every time you grab the keys, you’ll be reminded of the dogs who are waiting for you at the door. You know that they will greet you warmly, just like the happy faces on the custom keyrings. You can hang these in the car, on the desk, and at the entrance of your room, so that you can think of your babies every moment. Of course, such customized keyrings can also designed with other patterns. Come and use your imagination to customize them crazily!
