5 Ways to Boost Your Fertility As A First-Time Mum

There’s always a worry as a first-time mum, of what to expect when you start trying for a baby. Unless you’ve had fertility tests, you’ll like be unaware of just how fertile you are, how healthy those eggs will be and how quickly or how long it takes to get pregnant.

With all the unknowns, it’s good to give yourself the opportunity to boost your fertility as much as you possibly can. With that being said, here are five ways to boost your fertility as a first-time mum.

A healthy weight is always good to have and so it’s something that you want to try and do in preparation for trying. When you’ve got a healthy body, you’ve got all of the good stuff that your baby needs to grow.

When you’re looking to get pregnant, your weight or your general health, can influence how quickly you fall pregnant, so it’s always good to try and keep on top of your diet where possible.

Consider what you’re weight is currently and how you might want to maintain that through cutting down on foods and drinks that are highly calorific.

It’s always good to be mindful of the alternatives when it comes to boosting your fertility. While there’s that hope that you will be able to get pregnant without any help, some people need it. 

There are some fantastic advancements in medicine and healthcare that are now providing first-time mums, with the opportunities to fall pregnant when perhaps they wouldn’t have without the newly available help.

With procedures like IUI treatment being available, this is definitely something to consider and research as you approach that window of trying to conceive naturally.

The food you put into your body not only nourishes you, but it nourishes that baby to be too. That’s why it’s a good idea to try and eat as well as you can and by making sure you have plenty of moderation in what you eat. While you might be eating more for a baby, you also want to make sure it’s balanced.

The same goes for eating before getting pregnant. Make sure you’re fueling your body in the right way.

High stress levels are something that can significantly impact your ovulation and how easily you fall pregnant. The more stressed out you are, the less likely you’re going to find that your ovulation is on time or is as frequent as you want it.

Engaging in stress-reducing activities like meditation or spending some more time in nature and away from the desk can be a good way to help counteract those feelings of stress in your life.
