Some years ago I published a post on my favourite candles from Wickford & Co candles which are sold in Home Bargains stores across the UK. I simply could not believe the scent that these candles produce, especially for the price. This post is still one of the most popular on my blog, although it was written some 7 years ago when I was just a newbie blogger! Anyway, it’s high time I offer my readers another post on the wonderful Wickford & Co candles!
Why We Love Wickford & Co Candles
In my introduction, I referred to how reasonable these candles are to purchase. Well as of February 2025, these large candles come in at the bargain price of £2.99 – yes, that’s right, £2.99! Taking a look at my old post in 2017 – the price for the large candle hasn’t increased at all!
The brand also offers smaller candles at 99p and tealight candles coming in at £5.49 for a pack of 18. Their reed diffusers are ideal for small spaces, such as the bathroom and are a bargain at 79p. You can also add to the collection with oils (£2.49 for a pack of 4) and wax melts (£3.16 for 4 packs of 8).
I’m a huge candle nerd and before stumbling upon Wickford & Co candles, Yankee Candles were my candle of choice. But honestly, Wickford & Co candles give out just as powerful a scent as it’s more expensive rivals, such as the Yankee Candle.
There is always a great range of scents to choose from and they change with the seasons. Over the Christmas period, my house was filled with the scent of mulled wine and spiced apples. During Halloween, we had pumpkin and gingerbread smells throughout the house. The only problem I have with some of the food-based candles is they really do make me hungry!
Wickford & Co Spring Collection
I absolutely love this time of year. Spring is about to, well spring! The days are lighter for longer and the nights are getting shorter. At the moment, out house is busy with spring cleaning and removing winter themes in favour of colourful spring vibes. We obviously need scents to help us with this feeling of renewal!
I popped into my local Home Bargains and came home with a bag full of the new Wickford & Co candles.
The lavender scent is so fresh and clean, it’ll be a lovely addition to my dressing table.

I absolutely love the smell of dark cherry. This one will be perfect for the bathroom, a nice relaxing scent during bath times!

I needed a reed diffuser for our pantry. It’s used to store dog food and leads and harnesses and it can become rather musty in there. The cherry blossom reed diffuser kicks out quite a punch and is perfect for this small space without being too overpowering.

We recently redecorated the lounge and have used lots of green colours to brighten up the space. The Sage and Citrus candle is the perfect colour to match the room but also gives a powerful clean spring scent.

I couldn’t resist the Hot cross buns scent which is ideal for my kitchen worktop. It’ll eliminate all those post-cooking smells!

As it’s spring, I simply had to get the carrot cake candle. This will work well in the dining room!

The Wild Jasmine candle is one we have had before and we’ve used it in the lounge to keep the house smelling fresh and clean. I simply had to get another one as I enjoyed the scent so much.

Have you tried any of the Wickford & Co candles? Which is your favourite scent?
