Product Review – Superdrug Colourfix

Product Review – Superdrug Colourfix

I found my first grey hair at the young age of 14, and ever since, those nasty little wirey hairs have a tendency to appear unexpectedly. Colouring my hair has become an essential and regular part of my lifestyle, however I often find grey hairs in-between my trips to the hairdressers.

It’s not always practical to use root touch-up dyes. Quite often, I need a quick fix. I stumbled across Superdrug’s Colourfix instant root cover up recently and thought I’d give it a try.

Superdrug Colourfix

Priced at only £4.99, I thought this was extremely reasonable and half the price of the same product manufactured by some of the leading brands. Around 3 weeks after colouring my hair, sure enough I spotted grey roots. Following the instructions, I shook the can and sprayed my roots holding the can about 20cm away from my head. Sure enough, my grey roots were covered and instead were now a dark brown colour. I was surprised to find that the colour fix lasted until I washed my hair. The spray did not feel sticky, having a similar texture to hairspray.

Having become familiar with this product over the past few months, I have become more confident, at times using the spray throughout my hair to change the colour of my hair in between trips to the hairdressers. I have found that if I hold the can closer than the recommended 20cm to my hair, the colour can be seen on my scalp (if used at the roots).

This product has become of one the essential items in my bathroom and I have been recommending this product to all my friends and family. Available in 4 different colours, this product is currently my favourite beauty product.
