Lymm Pumpkin Patch

Lymm Pumpkin Patch

Today we decided to venture out into the col autumn air and pick our own pumpkins. When it comes to picking pumpkins in the Greater Manchester area, there are so many places to choose from. This year, we decided to go somewhere we have never been to before, this led us to Lymm Pumpkin Patch.

Why Choose Lymm Pumpkin Patch

One thing that attracted me to Lymm Pumpkin Patch was the free entry. Pumpkin picking can be rather expensive and so free entry to the site makes it much more appealing for those on a budget (especially handy on the run up to Christmas).

Another thing I noticed was no booking was required. Many of the pumpkin picking sites around Greater Manchester had already booked up, but at Lymm Pumpkin Patch, you just turn up on the day. It runs every weekend now until 31st October from 10am until 5pm. From 18th October, the site is open daily.

Parking was also on site and free making is great for those with limited mobility. The dogs were also permitted on the patch and so all boxes were ticked for us!

Our Visit

So we visited at around 12.30 pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were guided into our parking spot (there is ample parking, but during busier times, you can also park on the street just off site).

Maize Maze

We decided to start with the maize maze. This cost was £2 per person. It was a fun little maze that took around 15 minutes to complete.

We stopped at various points for photo ops!

I was a great way to start our visit to the pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin Patch

After lots of giggles int the maze, we headed to the pumpkin patch. I have honestly never seen so many pumpkins in one place before. I could not believe the sheer number and pumpkins and all the colours and varieties on offer.

We collected a wheelbarrow and made our way through the patch.

Throughout the pumpkin patch, there’s lots to keep the kids entertained. At the entrance, you’ll find pumpkin bowling. And hook a duck.

There’s also a cute noughts and crosses game as well as a swing.

You’ll also find a huge spider!

Clear paths allow you to navigate the patch and find exactly what you’re looking for.

Pumpkins are paid for before leaving a prices vary dependant upon colour and size. Prior to heading into the patch, there is a price list to give you some idea of cost.

We paid £14 for our 3 pumpkins which I thought was extremely reasonable, considering the size of them and their unique colours. Furthermore, we had spent about an hour in the pumpkin patch enjoying some family fun with our dogs as well!

Once we had paid for our pumpkins (they accept cash or card) we washed our pumpkins at the ‘Pumpkin Spa’ and returned our wheelbarrow.

We will most certainly be returning to Lymm Pumpkin Patch next year. Our visit was one we will remember. With so many pumpkins to choose from ,we really were spoilt for choice.

There were ample photo opportunities and bringing our dogs with us made the day all the more enjoyable.
